Why should I step out of the door after sunset? Why should I stay up so late even if my eyes already feel too heavy?
Perhaps you follow me on Instagram and you already know what I’m talking about. Maybe you have noticed how I’m telling on my posts I want to publish ONE MORE picture from the street of Vilnius at night.
Let me take you for a little moonlight walk on the beautiful streets of Vilnius!
Perhaps you thought it really was the last one. Until it happens again. One more photograph. I promise, this will be the very last one.
Oh well, ONE MORE picture…
Vilnius is such a beautiful city. I could wander along the streets of the Lithuanian capital probably forever. The atmosphere is so unique, a wonderful combination of new and old, modern and rustic. I fell in love with the street art of Vilnius so badly that it deserved its very own post.
Even if I’m longing for an adventure, a hike in the mountains and white river rafting, a weekend getaway in Europe is perfect medication when days feel too heavy and I need a short break. The cities of Mid and Eastern Europe are far enough, when looking from Finland, and yet so close that it’s easy to pay a visit with nothing else but a light-weighted backpack and a very thin wallet.
Exactly how I prefer to travel.
And you know what I love about it the most? Once I finally get there I can have two completely different kinds of holiday. These beautiful European cities, like the lovely Vilnius of Lithuania, look so diverse after dark.
So diverse I can’t quite decide which I love the most; the busy and packed city view of Vilnius lit by sunshine, or the quiet and dark street view at night, when the whole city is so beautifully lit by lights that it just takes my breath away.
