Hold on to your dreams and never let go!

I have just experienced the most inspirational week of my life. On Monday I was called to work for a few days at the editorial office of the local newspaper to cover for journalists who are on sick leave. I’m very sorry for the ones who have got sick, it’s never nice, but at the same time it was very good news for me! I have been working as a freelance writer for some time now, and someone might remember how happy I was when I got my first article published. This week I got to experience for the very first time in my life, how it is to work as a journalist in a newsroom. Words are not enough to describe how much I have enjoyed these few days!

Another great thing happened this week. I received an email message from a Finnish girl, who had read my post about searching jobs in Spain. She got a new kick for her dreams about moving to Spain through my post and asked for a few extra tips by email. Even if I’m writing this blog mostly cause I just love to write, I do have some goals: to inspire other dreamers to make things happen instead of only dreaming. So in case I can encourage even one reader to fulfill their dreams with my writing, I feel I have reached my goal. I wish the best of luck for this girl, and I hope she will find a job and start living her dream.

This week has taught me so much, not only about working as a journalist but also about myself as a person. I also got a sweet reminder of the fact that work doesn’t feel like work when you are able to do what you enjoy the most. We all have bad days every once in a while, and when you are feeling a bit down, you can easily make yourself believe that no matter how hard you try, you just keep failing. You might feel you want to give up and settle for what you are given. The only thing you have to do when feeling like that is to pull yourself up, forget the negative thoughts and try harder. Persistence pays off! One bad day doesn’t mean you need to give up all your dreams forever.

The truth is, that every bad day will be followed by a super amazing week!

PS. Just to prove that the previous sentence is true, just when I was about to publish this post, I received another great news: filling in those contest coupons at the travel fair paid off! I have won free tickets to a ski centre in Northern Finland. Off to plan a little winter holiday and dust off my snowboard!

Have a happy weekend, everyone!

    1. Haha, thanks for that! Although a trip to Mauritius or something like that would have been even better! 😉 To be honest, travelling in Finland is so pricey, that I’m not sure if it’s worth going just for the sake of free ski tickets. But let’s see, haven’t been snowboarding for a while and we don’t have any good slopes here in South, so maybe we’ll go after all! Have a great weekend!

Make me happy; let's get chatty! :)
